Tutoring focuses on helping students learn how to organize, plan, and follow through on daily schoolwork completion, test preparation, and long-term projects.

Standardized Test Prep
Tutoring for the critical reading and writing sections of the PSAT and/or SAT, including the essay. Focuses on reviewing and/or applying skills in reading comprehension, grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, as well as test-taking and time-management strategies.
Tutoring for the math sections of the PSAT and/or SAT. Focuses on subject area knowledge in math as well as test-taking and time-management strategies.
Tutoring for the individual English, history, math, science, and foreign language tests of the SAT II. Focuses on the specific subject-area knowledge students need as well as test-taking and time-management strategies.
Tutoring for the English, reading, and essay sections of the ACT. Focuses on subject area knowledge in grammar, syntax, reading comprehension, and essay structures as well as test-taking and time-management strategies.
Tutoring for the math and science sections of the ACT. Focuses on reviewing and/or applying skills in algebra, geometry, trig, and scientific methods in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as test-taking and time-management strategies.

Prep for the analytical writing section includes honing critical thinking and writing skills to produce Issues essay and Argument essays that are articulate, well supported by evidence, coherent, and well written.
All prep integrates test-taking techniques and time-management strategies.

Intensive instruction and practice in the mechanics and methods of reading and writing for students K-sixth grade. Every course is individualized for the student and may include literature study and analysis, vocabulary, grammar, sight words, and elements of the Orton-Gillingham-based phonics structures.
